Student Activities & First Year Programs
The Office of Student Activities and First Year Programs (SAFYP) provides advising, resources and support to empower students in creating and developing campus culture and community through social, cultural, recreational, service and artistic opportunities. To this end, our staff provides development advising, resource materials, administrative support and leadership development opportunities to promote students’ growth and ensure the success of student organizations. SAFYP also offers co-curricular programs and services that equip first-year students with the skills and knowledge necessary to be successful in their first year at Carnegie Mellon.
